A Conversation on the Art of Kate Millett, presented by The Last Review
PANEL
Friday, November 6 at 4:00 pm
The Last Review presents a conversation on the art of Kate Millett, whose work has enjoyed a recent resurgence in interest. Best known as the author of Sexual Politics, Millett was a sculptor and artist associated with the Fluxus Movement. Her Fantasy Furniture of 1967, a suite of anthropomorphic furniture sculptures first shown at the Judson Gallery and restaged by Salon 94 Design in 2022, turned the objects of the home into a critique of domestic life and the structures of the family. The discussion considers Millett’s practice between art, design, and politics, and why it speaks so strongly to the present.
With: Jeremy Gloster (Writer and Art Critic; Co-founder, The Last Review) and Trang Tran (Director, Salon 94 Design)
Moderated by: Brecht Wright Gander (Artist and Co-founder, The Last Review)

Office as Fantasy
PANEL
Saturday, November 7 at 2:00 pm
Linked to Human Resources, this year’s Curated section by Alex Tieghi-Walker, this conversation looks at the office as a landscape of corporate fantasy. We spend more of our lives at work than almost anywhere else, yet the office has long been designed as a system to optimise behavior, its image shaped as much by Mad Men and Severance as by architects. The panel considers the enduring appeal of the late-20th-century office, how it stages ambition, display, labor, and value, and how collectible design might reimagine it around individuality, rest, and creativity.
With: Alex Tieghi-Walker (Founder, TIWA Select) and Daisy Hook (Co-founder and Design Director, Chimera Design; Curator, Show: Room)
Moderated by: Felix Burrichter (Founder and Editor-in-Chief, PIN–UP)

With: Jessica Pell (Founder, Manola Studio; Co-owner and Creative Director, Hotel Wren)
Moderated by: Stacy Shoemaker Rauen (Founder, Stay & Gather)

Fashioning Space
PANEL
Sunday, November 8 at 4:00 pm
Fashion and design have always been connected, through fabrication, through form, and through measure. As fashion moves from an enthusiast’s pursuit into the mainstream, more people care about how their spaces look and function as much as what they wear. Building on this year’s Fashion section, dedicated to furniture made for the fashion world, from retail spaces to runway shows, the panel explores the symbiotic relationship between the two fields, and the encounters and commissions that bring design galleries, studios, and fashion houses together.
With: Alexandra Cunningham Cameron (Director of Design, Judd Foundation; Curator-at-Large, Cooper Hewitt)
Moderated by: Lynette Nylander (Executive Digital Director, Harper's Bazaar)
