CCINQ’s first exhibition of 2026 explores the connections between architecture and design.
Artist Jacques Di Piazza works directly on the façade of this iconic building, constructed by Marcel Lambricht in the late 1970s. His work reflects and fractures its environment, subverting standard visual cues. On the terrace, the duo Sadowczyk_cauwe presents an installation designed to gradually consume itself. The object’s aesthetic echoes that of the building—a faux classicism destined to disappear. A work in decay, perhaps mirroring our contemporary world. Inside, Louise Huyghe’s proposal occupies the interior space entirely. Through this immaterial work, Huyghe engages with the unique structure of the space, subtly highlighting its function as a showcase. A sensitive reflection on what is, or what is not.
Together, these three propositions trace a path from architecture to the invisible, marking a radical start to the season under the guidance of a talented young generation, commissioned by Patrick Carpentier.

The exhibition brings together collectible design objects, unique pieces, and limited editions by designers based in Brussels and its surrounding areas, selected with particular attention to local proximity and production realities. Hosted by Frédéric de Goldschmidt at Cloud Seven, and curated by Fannie Tomas and Manon Viratelle, the exhibition unfolds as a fictional narrative set in a near, utopian and satirical future, centered on the question of work.
Playing with the dual identity of Cloud Seven as both a coworking space and an exhibition venue, the scenography, managed by ASCP studio, draws on the aesthetics and codes of the workplace. The exhibition takes the form of a meeting room frozen in time, abandoned mid action: unoccupied desks, objects left in use, handwritten note style labels resembling hastily taken notes, cooled coffee enhanced by an olfactory dimension, and screens and display supports evoking presentations and working documents that reveal an idyllic future in which equality is no longer a struggle but an inheritance. The office becomes the archive of a world that operates differently. Fiction here is not a refuge, but a critical tool. At its core, the project reflects on creative labor, daily, often invisible, and frequently overlooked.

Amalgame explores the idea of mixture and encounter. Materials come together through contact, friction, and transformation. They seek one another, oppose one another, complement one another, and occasionally fuse.
The exhibition unfolds within DARWIN15, a collector-run space dedicated to design and art, housed in an exceptional private residence in Brussels. The former swimming pool has been transformed into an exhibition space, adding a distinctive architectural and atmospheric dimension to the works presented. Balancing contrast and harmony, the exhibition brings together practices in which differences coexist without cancelling one another out, allowing materials, forms, and gestures to resonate through proximity and tension.
Location: Boulevard de Waterloo 50 Waterloolaan, 1000 Brussels | From Thursday 15 January to Saturday 11 April 2026 | 12:00 - 18:00 (Closed on Monday & Sunday)

La Verrière – Fondation d’Entreprise Hermès invites you to a private visit of Quatre on Friday 13 March at 14:00.
Curated by Joël Riff, the exhibition unfolds as an «augmented solo» by Georgian painter Elene Shatberashvili, bringing together her works in dialogue with eight other artists and a presentation of furniture by Johan Viladrich. Viladrich’s pieces are placed in direct echo with the paintings, shaping a precise spatial and material conversation through the natural light of La Verrière.
Location: Place du Nouveau Marché aux Grains 10 Nieuwe Graanmarkt, 1000 Brussels | From Wednesday 11 March to Saturday 25 April 2026 | 11:00 - 18:00 (Closed on Tuesday & Sunday)

The exhibition «Home Sweet Home» explores the idea of home with a playful twist. Birdhouses by internationally renowned designers demonstrate how living, care, and beauty come together for both humans and nature. This small but meaningful object is reimagined into creations where material, form, and color reflect the designer’s identity. From ceramics and metal to wood and textiles, some birdhouses appear delicate and precious, others are robust or playful, functional or sculptural.
The exhibition is curated by Swiss interior stylist and curator Connie Hüsser, and presents more than 75 unique birdhouses designed by prominent Belgian and international designers like Muller Van Severen, Sabine Marcelis, James Shaw, Bethan Laura Wood, Max Lamb and Akiko Mori, to name a few.

Villa Empain, one of Europe’s most refined Art Deco residences, will be fully inhabited by 27 designers from Zaventem Ateliers. Rather than hosting an exhibition, the villa returns to its original vocation: that of a home, animated by daily life, shared gestures, and contemporary creation.
