POWER explores the intersection of energy and politics, prompting reflection on how contemporary infrastructures shape daily life. Themes including political institutions, citizen participation, geopolitics, energy transition, and climate justice converge, from oil and gas pipelines to domestic heating and recycling centres. These infrastructures are central to current debates on systemic change, often subject to intense political, social, and economic contestation, dividing power in both energy and political senses. Architects, landscape architects, artists, and urban planners, while often perpetuating the current regime of carbon modernity, also hold a pivotal position to steer discourse and practice towards a large-scale energy transition.
