Pioneering scenographies have always been key to COLLECTIBLE, which seeks to innovate in this field. Each year we offer an extraordinary new experience to engage our audience, while highlighting the scenography practice of a design or architecture studio.
Large-scale temporary events are one of the biggest producers of waste. As such, COLLECTIBLE wants to highlight projects, whose conception produces as little waste as possible, as well as considering how to reuse materials by reselling and re-housing various elements and pieces of furniture.

"We wanted to work with a natural material, and through our research on traditional and local crafts we became fascinated by the ancient, yet timeless, technique of thatching, and the beauty of this simple raw substance. Thatching is very present in northern Europe and natural fibre architecture is found across the world. We value the opportunity of meeting craftspeople and absorbing their knowledge and history, which we then draw on in our own installations." — Studio Rochée

Bram Vanderbeke explores and transforms the possible interactions between an object, its architectural environment and its user, further challenged by raw materiality, form and functionality. His works are in the same time autonomous artistic manifestations and utile solutions, an ambiguity Bram deliberately aims for.
For the first time, COLLECTIBLE this year launched an open call to select scenographers for its upcoming 4th edition.
Pioneering scenographies have always been key to COLLECTIBLE, which seeks to innovate in this field. Each year we offer an extraordinary new experience to engage our audience, while highlighting the scenography practice of a design or architecture studio. The scenographer will lead in the design of the main areas of the fair: the entrance hall and the restaurant, two central thoroughfares experienced by every visitor, each offering prime locations.
The Open Call for scenographers is now closed. We will launch a new open call for our 5th edition in 2022.
The scenography of COLLECTIBLE is a crucial part of the DNA of our platform, and each year we look to radically reinvent the fair’s staging. Scenographers from previous editions include Richard Venlet, Sophie Dries, Studio Verter, Atelier Tomas Dirrix and Döppel Studio.
